Kushido Karate Do International was established in 1963 and has dojos worldwide. The main dojo, Honbu, is in Cape Town, South Africa and was headed by Hanshi Denis St John Thomson until he passed away in September 2009.
Renshi Nico Bester (7th Dan) is now the head of Kushido Karate Do and Chief Instructor Shihan Lawrence Milward Bridges (6th Dan) is the head of Honbu dojo.
